Not like they used to be
I’m really disappointed as my girls have been wearing these for years and they usually last the full year of school. This last pair broke on the first day of wearing. The fastener that holds the buckle came away. I returned them and the exact same issue has happened to both the other shoes. I have fixed them with the help of  Timpsons  this time. They have added new fasteners to hold the buckles on the shoes. You have either got a faulty batch or changed something. I wonder how many other families have found this happening ?Â
